Mugello is a hilly area located north of the province of Florence. It has an ancient history, with evidence from the Etruscans, Romans and Lombards, but it was with the Medicis, a family that ruled Florence and that was originally from these parts, that the region experienced its true splendour: villas and castles were built, which can still be seen today, and the economy was given a boost.
Today, Mugello is an interesting destination waiting to be discovered,
outside the mass tourist routes but which still retains a great charm. 
For many, in fact, Mugello is synonymous with the international circuit, while for others it rhymes with Barberino Designer Outlet... but for everyone, it is a symptom of tranquillity, nature, quality and good food!
The gem of this area is Castrum Florentiole, today called Firenzuola, built in 1300 and today a unique hamlet where you can take a Sunday stroll and enjoy the typical arcades of the Tuscan-Emilian Apennines.
